Why is my Vaillant boiler not heating up?

Why is my Vaillant boiler not heating up?

Vaillant boiler problems with no hot water or heating is quite common, which will produce a Vaillant F29 error warning. It can be the result of a frozen condensate pipe, lack of gas supply or defective spark electrodes. This is a common issue Homecure engineers are able to diagnose and resolve.

Why is my boiler giving me hot water but no heating?

If you’ve got hot water, but no central heating then there are more issues it could be if it’s not the thermostat or the boiler pressure. Common reasons for this particular fault are broken diaphragms and airlocks, or a motorised valve failing.

How is there water but no heating?

If your boiler seems to be working and your hot water supply is still functioning, but your central heating is not working, then the problem is either down to the settings on your boiler and central heating system or because a component of the boiler – almost certainly the motorised diverter valve – is broken.

What does a red light mean on a Vaillant boiler?

You may find that there is a red light on the display board. This is simply a clarification that the boiler is not firing correctly. The F22 fault code will automatically put the boiler into a limp mode, much like a car would if the ECU detects a problem.

Why is my radiator cold when the heating is on?

Why is one radiator cold when the heating is on? One cold radiator usually indicates that either there is air in the system or there is a stuck valve within that radiator. To check if the valve is stuck, you can remove the rotatable head on the TRV to reveal a raised pin beneath it.

Why is the heating not coming on?

Could the problem be something as simple as a turned-off thermostat? If the thermostat is set too low, the heating will not come on until the room temperature is lower than the temperature you have set the thermostat to. Turn the thermostat up to its highest setting and see if this resolves the problem.
