Do airbags affect suspension travel?

Do not allow the air bags to be the suspension travel limiter. With RideControl series air springs, increase the pressure prior to off-roading.

How long does airlift suspension last?

Do airbags make it ride smoother?

Using airbags will allow you some degree of customization, less air would be a softer ride, more air would be a stiffer ride. But no matter how much air is in the bags they would engage first, before the stock suspension could fully compress. With the suspension compressed it can smooth things out some.

Do air bags replace suspension?

These systems replace the traditional shock/strut/spring setup with a series of air bags. These inflated bags sit under the car (at the axles) and take the place of mechanical springs and shocks/struts. The only real problem with them is that the bags are made of rubber.

Can you drive a car with bad air suspension?

No. It is not recommended. A damaged or collapsed spring can cause sagging and noise and affect alignment angles. While you can still drive, the ride will be rough and the car will be difficult to control in an emergency.
