How do you remove Cannondale forks?

From what I found from other posts and elsewhere on the webs, all it takes to remove the fork is take off the stem/handlebars, remove the top cap, and tap the top of the fork a couple of times with a rubber mallet and it should drop right out.

How tight should stem bolts be?

Tighten each bolt a few turns, following the pattern at right. Continue tightening until you reach 75 inch/pounds (8.5nm). This is approximately as tight as you can get the bars using a multi-tool. Maintaining equal load on all 4 bolts is critical for durability.

How do Lefty forks work?

A Lefty moves on thin strips of needle bearings that are placed on each flat side of the inner tube. Conventional forks with round tubes can’t use needle bearings because telescoping assemblies require a flat surface for the bearings to roll across.

Why is my headset wobbling?

Headsets usually become loose because one of the headset pieces changed positions, or as a result of the stem and top nut loosening. To fix this requires tightening and locking the adjustment so it stays in place.

Can you over tighten headset?

Yes it’s possible to overtighten a headset, and yes it possible to make it too loose. You know you hit the sweet spot if there’s no play and you can put your bike on the stand at an angle (front wheel dive position) and turn the handlebars, and they recenter to the middle by themselves. At that point. That’s perfect.
