You can use Mepilex Ag to manage low to moderately exuding wounds, such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and partial thickness burns. And it can be used under compression bandaging.

Apply hydrogel liberally to broken areas of skin (see separate hydrogel information leaflet). Remove the protective layer from the Mepilex dressing and apply the sticky side to cover the hydrogel. For best results the Mepilex dressing should overlap dry surrounding skin by at least 2cm.

Mepilex is an absorbent, atraumatic dressing made from polyurethane foam. The outer surface of the foam is bonded to a vapour-permeable polyurethane membrane, which acts as a barrier to liquid and microorganisms.

Do you put mepilex sticky side down?

Put a new Mepilex Ag bandage over the burn (sticky side down). For the best results, the bandage should overlap on healthy skin.
