What is action research plan?
In schools, action research refers to a wide variety of evaluative, investigative, and analytical research methods designed to diagnose problems or weaknesses—whether organizational, academic, or instructional—and help educators develop practical solutions to address them quickly and efficiently.
Where is action research used?
Action research is used in real situations, rather than in contrived, experimental studies, since its primary focus is on solving real problems. It can, however, be used by social scientists for preliminary or pilot research, especially when the situation is too ambiguous to frame a precise research question.
Which comes first theory or research?
Moral: Theories are not discovered, they are created. The answer is as simple as the chicken-egg riddle, whether the chicken comes first or the egg.. Actually, theory and research are so inter linked, that it would be unwise to consider them separately.
How does action research help teachers?
Action research enables teachers to reflect on their practice to improve it, become more autonomous in professional judg- ment, develop a more energetic and dynamic environment for teaching and learning, articulate and build their craft knowledge, and recognize and appreciate their own expertise.
