What is Airsofting?
Airsoft is a military simulation sport where players participate in mock combat with authentic military-style weapons and tactics. Unlike paintball, airsoft uses 6mm round BBs made of hard plastic. The guns used are full scale replicas of real world weapons. They also shoot a lower velocity than gas or AEG guns.
What is the bullet of airsoft?
Airsoft guns consist of a plastic pistol that shoots hard plastic bullets with a diameter of 6.0 mm (Figure 1). These bullets are available in different weights (0.12, 0.2, and 0.25 g), all of which are much lighter than the lead bullets used in BB guns (0.52-1.6 g).

Do heavier BBs lower FPS? They do lower the FPS, therefore are often a good choice when playing on the fields that have the FPS limitations if your gun is too powerful. They will not affect the FPS much, only for 60 or so, if you make a dramatic change from 0.20 to 0.30.
What age can you play airsoft?
The ideal age to start playing airsoft is 15 to 16 years of age. Kids ages 10 to 12 may be permitted to play in some states provided they have proper supervision because it is believed that they may not have the maturity to play the game yet.
