What is an Estyn inspection?

We inspect quality and standards in education and training providers in Wales. We are responsible for inspecting: nursery schools and settings that are maintained by, or receive funding from, local authorities. primary schools.

How long does it take for Estyn report?

We publish all school and non-maintained nursery inspection reports 45 working days from the first day of inspection. We publish post-16 inspection reports within 70 working days of the last day of inspection. Please visit our inspection schedule for a list of forthcoming reports.
