EcoCocon straw wall panels consist of 98% straw and timber. The panel types include braced panels, lintels, sills, columns, and inclined gable wall elements. They are made of locally sourced natural materials that do not undergo any chemical treatment during the production process.
Can Proslat panels be cut?
Yes, it’s easy to cut Proslat panels. Because each slat is fastened to a stud, there is no loss of structural integrity. You may, however, require extra trims as what is supplied in the box is sufficient only when installed as 8′ wide x 4′ high.
How do you cut slatwall panels?
Slatwall panels can be cut very easily. For straight cuts use a table saw and cut the slatwall panel face UP, or use a circular saw and cut the panel face DOWN. Use a sharp blade with 60-80 teeth and set the blade depth to 1 inch or just enough to cut through the slatwall panel.
Can you use Pegboard hooks on slatwall?
Will pegboard hooks work on slatwall? Although pegboard hooks may fit into the slatwall groove, it is not a good idea to use pegboard hooks in the slatwall.

If the Slatwall needs to be cut-to-size, cut the panels face down. Using a portable circular saw with a sharp saw blade (60-80 teeth) is recommended. Keep in mind that if using a table saw, the panel should be cut face up. Note: If cutting the panel with aluminum inserts, use a carbide tipped saw blade.
