Zinsser B-I-N is a shellac-based alternative to Bulls Eye 1-2-3 and is perfect for interior priming or for exterior spot priming. Zinsser Cover Stain is the only interior / exterior primer, sealer, stain sealer and bond coat that dries for recoat in only two hours.

Can you paint over Zinsser shellac?

Can I emulsion over Zinsser BIN?

Yes you can paint over that – just make sure it is properly dry. Also if you are doing two coats over it make sure you also leave a good amount of drying time between. BE123 seems to slow the drying process a little and you will find the paint dragging if you try and second coat to soon.

What happens if you paint over shellac nails?

Shellac nails have a hard and shiny topcoat that will need to be buffed out before applying any polish. This topcoat creates a slick surface that won’t allow your polish to adhere as strongly as it could. It doesn’t take much, so don’t go crazy on buffing off your polish.

Is Kilz or Zinsser better?

When applied to two different walls in the same space, two coats each, Original Kilz Primer allowed more bleed-through, while Zinsser provided better coverage. However, Kilz Premium is a high-hiding formula, with a whiter, thicker consistency for superb opacity.

Is Zinsser paint any good?

Zinsser Allcoat great stuff, as mentioned above, multiple coats on in a day. It covers well and dries great. The white isn’t the best for coverage, but the black always performs well. It has the added bonus of being a primer, undercoat and topcoat in one, so you only usually need the one product instead of multiples.

Can you use Zinsser BIN over gloss?

On the original gloss boards which hadn’t been water-base-coat painted, the B-I-N was perfect, adhering really well to the gloss, giving great coverage and drying very quickly. It dries super fast and can be painted over after 45 minutes because it isn’t an oil based paint per se, but shellac based.
