Do you need to be flexible to do trapeze?

Flying Trapeze for Beginners No experience is necessary! We have had everyone up to 89 years old take a swing on the flying trapeze. It requires much less strength, flexibility, and coordination than you might think! All students will be in a safety harness and assisted at all times by our incredible staff.

How much does a trapeze class cost?

2 classes per week: $35 per class. Monthly tuition is due on the first of each month and will be charged to your credit card on file at Trapeze Arts.

Is flying trapeze hard?

No. Because of the timing involved with the flying trapeze, first time flyers can learn several basic tricks without much upper body strength. Of course, the more you practice, the stronger you will become. Flying trapeze is a great way to build strength and get into great shape!

At what age should you start aerial silks?

All beginner aerial students ages 8-12 should register for Youth Aerial Sling. Students will be placed from there when they are ready to advance.

How do you join the circus?

Many circus workers are accessible via social networking. If you want to be an aerialist, befriend an aerialist. If you have no acrobatic skills but still want a job in the circus, befriend a concessions worker or someone on floor crew.

How old do you have to be to start trapeze?

Our age limits are 6 – 150 years old! For flying trapeze, we have a strict 200 pound weight limit. There are no height restrictions. Just like any sport, if you have any pre-existing medical concerns, please obtain a doctor’s approval prior to participating in our activities.

They might prefer juggling, learning to become a clown or other circus based kids activities where they can keep their feet on solid ground! Trapeze lessons can start from as young as age 4 – if your preschooler can’t get enough of the swing at the playground, why not give trapeze a go?
