Starting in 2020, record stores were allowed to list their RSD inventory online on the afternoon of the physical drop. The per of searching for your coveted title is that you can discover a new record store selling online and still support the RSD mission even if you’re not physically in-store.

Record Store Day 2020 has been postponed as health concerns rise in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic. Originally scheduled to take place on April 18, the global music event will now take place at participating record stores on Saturday June 20. The 2020 Rock Hall induction ceremony has also been postponed.
What does RSD first mean?
RSD exclusive releases are available exclusively on Black Friday at participating stores. In contrast, the most plentiful titles on Black Friday are the “RSD First” releases, which will be sold at participating indie stores for a limited amount of time before they become widely available at other outlets.
