Do specsavers Reglaze glasses UK?

Hi Emma, we rarely reglaze a frame in case it does not survive the glazing process. A reglaze charge is to cover the extra difficulties reglazing a frame. Glazing new frames is more straightforward so in some cases it is cheaper to have completely new glasses.

Can you put new lenses in old frames UK?

With our glasses re-glaze service, we can supply lenses made to your new prescription and fit them to your existing frames from only £34.95. Your prescription changes and you want new lenses for your existing glasses. You damage your current lenses and wish to replace them.

Can I get my sunglasses Reglazed?

Reglazing your glasses is a cost-effective solution to replace your lenses and keep your frames, whether that be due to damage, prescription change or the budget constraints of buying a whole new pair of glasses. If only one lens is damaged, then simply replace one lens.

Can I take my own frames to Specsavers?

Then you’ll be pleased to hear that you can turn almost all of our glasses frames into prescription sunglasses – all we do is add a sun tint with UV or polarising lenses. So you can get your own pair of customised prescription sunglasses.

Can I return glasses to Specsavers if I don’t like them?

Answer: Yes, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase at Specsavers. If you have any concerns within 100 days of the date of purchase, we will put it right.

Will Specsavers give me a refund?

Specsavers will issue a full refund or replacement of goods in all instances where: prescription glasses/sunglasses or contact lenses are supplied to the wrong prescription/specification. products you have ordered are returned to Specsavers as undeliverable by the postal service.

Can you have new lenses fitted into old frames?

If you like the way your eyeglasses fit and look on you but it’s time to get new lenses, you can get new lenses put in your favorite frames. You’ve always been able to do this, but most people don’t go this route.

Can I get my sunglasses changed to prescription?

Whether you have a high quality frame from an old pair of sunglasses that you want to still get use out of or you need your tinted shades to provide you with corrective lenses, you can indeed get your sunglasses converted into prescription glasses.

How much is a Specsavers contact lens check?

Answer: The cost of a Specsavers eye test varies, but it’s around £20-25. When you book an eye test, you can also book an additional Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) test. In most stores, the cost of our hospital-grade OCT appointments is just £10 but in some Scottish stores this may vary.

How quickly can Specsavers make glasses?

They’ll usually be with you within 10 days of your order, but we’ll let you know if they take any longer. Once you have them, you might need to come into your local store to have them fitted and make any necessary adjustments.
